Initiated way back in 1991,the school came into being in the then sleepy little village of vazhakkad as an aspiration,a dream of one of the pioneers in the field of innovative trends in education,the then honorable Minister of education, Kerala state, Shri. E.T Mohammed Basheer.As a dream which found its direction right,the school,established under the managrment of Institute of Human Resource Development,grew to become one of the leading technical education institution of kerala with students from all corners of state coming here to imbibe the best of what the school had to offfer.
The state art building and infrastructure combined with a team of faculty dedicated to the core in each and every detail soon put the school in a very enviable position with ranks and honors seeking place year after year.
The school has inaugurated on the 14th Feb. 1991 by the then honorable Minister of education Kerala state .Shri. E.T Mohammed Basheer and the computer center by the Honorable Finance Minister of Kerala Shri. Oommen Chandy.The foundation stone for the permanent building was laid on 10th Oct. 1992 by the honorable minister of education Shri E.T Mohammed Basheer at a simple function presided over by the Hon. MLA Shri K.K Abu in September 1994,The school shifted functioning to a new three storied permanent building.At a colorful function presided over by the Honorable Minister of Education of Kerala,Shri. E.T Mohammed Basheer on 24th February 1996,the new campus of THSS was inaugurated by the Hon.Chief Minister of Kerala A.K Antony.
